Opening Credits Sequence vs Title Sequence

The initial purpose of opening credits is to provide and present vital information to the audience/viewers. The opening credits of a film notify the viewers that the film was created by certain studios and/or specific production companies. They also let the audience know the names of all of the main stars in the cast list. One of the most common methods is opening credits.

Opening credits are typically shown at the start of the film, and shows and/or lists the most crucial  members of the production (which also includes the cast). To break it down and make things simplier, it is a list of credits shown one after another in the form of a list. These do not need to be seen on their won, but even after the film has begun, they can be an overlay.

On the contrary, a title sequence is a special scene which usually occurs before the film's actual scene begin. The title sequence also portrays the title and main production of the film. When the opening credit sequence is broken apart from the main action of the film it is most commonly referred to as a title sequence. The title sequence makes use of diegetic and non diegetic sound for the purpose of an effect that the filmmaker is trying to create. This contributes to the overall mood and genre of the film.

Some of the most techniques that low budget films use is the first method which is to go above and beyond and try to develop a highly animated title sequence in the 'After Effects' style. Another alternative to that method is to keep it straightforward and overlay text on or on a blak background on the edit itself. More simple techniques are keeping the font to a small but readable size, use frmaing guides, and avoiding drop shadows.
