Storyboard Process
I know I have saying that some of the other parts have been confusing me but this one kind of did too lol. The work is technically confusing, I understand the instructions and everything but I just have a hard time of actually putting all of my thoughts into my final submission. For this part I started later that I had initially planned. Most of this is because I kept overthinking and back tracking to the script. I tried to say 'what if' and attempted to change around of the details and realized what I was doing was ridiculous and that is fine.
But I do have to admit this isn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. When I heard the idea of a storyboard I immediately thought of just the scenes and the mise-en-scene of the film. As I researched and looked up examples of storyboards of popular films I began to realize that it was no where NEAR to what I was expecting. The thing that I found the most hilarious was that as I assumed I was finished and ready to submit, I began to see other storyboards with the dialogue. Which caused me to go BACK in and edit edit, edit!! This bothered me but not so much to where I wanted to give up completely.
As we are about to enter the production stage, I think I will be extremely nervous and will not be sure of how to approach my opening. My opening is different from all of the others (I assume) and hopefully it doesn't cost me extra points for it. I am in a bit of situation where I do not anyone to portray the roles of my characters in my film opening. My plan is to first, before proceeding with anything, is to have a conversation with my teacher so that she can approve my idea for the production portion.
